Wow what a day…..
Ok where to start…. Let’s start in the morning. It is Saturday morning at 9:00 and I’m so sleepy, I just wanted to lay in bed under my warm blankets. I hear my mother yelling at me for like the 100th time to get up, I finally do. I get a bowl of captain crunch, take a shower, get ready, the whole nine yards. Then at 10:40 we all meet up at the Baxter car pool, and the first person I see is Kalia Morgan and she Say’s “Deston you actually came.” As I’m thinking to myself why wouldn’t I go? So its 11:00 were all about to leave me and Klayton are riding together listening to the Backstreet Boys, Lundrics and everything in between. Lol. So were following four other cars, and we decided to get in front of them because we think there going to slow, so right as we get in front of them it just happens to be the exit we get off, so were leading the way to Cracker Barrel headquarters and have no clue where it is, so I call coach Brooks and ask here for directions. Next thing you know we are lost…. So my best friend Alli Sparks was already there in Lebanon so I call here to find out were we are suppose to go, so she ends up meeting us at Burger King. Five minutes later we get there and almost all the Volleyball girls are there and there all wearing these blue shirts with gray shorts on, they looked so funny. Anyway we all get jobs to help set up the event and Klayton, Will, Savanna and I are asked to do water balloons, so I’m thinking it can’t be that hard right? Then we figured out it sucks. The balloon’s are cheep china one’s that break so easily and none of us could tie them because are fingers were so big, we eventually got like 100 of them done and we called it quits. So then everyone got new jobs, and Klayton and I decided to help with the sports area and Kaylton helps with this golf game, and I end up helping with this baseball game where you throw the ball in a little hole. So the event starts and it’s so boring at first then you have all these little kids coming to play these game’s witch makes the time go by faster. After like 2 hours of working with baseball, I go help with the snacks and they had roasted corn dipped in butter, apples with carmel, and popcorn, cotton candy, and the best were the funnel cakes. The funny thing about the funnel cake was I’ve never tried one before so I was looking at it and asking Savannah is that any good? Because I’ve never had one and I really don’t like trying new food’s but after ten minutes of just staring at it, Savannah and I shared a funnel cake and let me tell you it was good!!!!! I ate three of them, and there so fating but oh well. So after after making and handing out about 100 snacks. I look over at Kalie and she looks like she’s asleep at the corn hole game, but really she just tired but i don’t blame here everyone was starving, sleepy, and tierd all just wanted go eat and rest. So 5 o’clock comes are it’s time to tear down the event which was a pain in the rear…. so Klayton, Jasmin, Kalie and Savannah are working together and we didn’t get done till like 8. So after three hours of tearing down and hanging with all my friend’s about 8 of us go and eat dinner at Demoe’s (SP) it’s thi steak and pasta place. Then, Klayton orders a Dr.Pepper and he makes a comment I’m really thirsty so he gets his drink and then he drinks the whole glass in like 10 seconds it was crazy so he get’s another one and the same thing. Then the waiter brings him two Dr Peppers and he ends up drinking 5 or 6 Dr.Peppers at dinner. So me and Kalie are sitting at dinner next to each other and we share a plate of spaghetti which was so convenient because we were flirting all night so why not share a plate of spaghetti just like the movie Lady and the Tramp. We finish up eating and the ride home Klayton and I are listing to our 90’s music and I get home at 10, but it felt like it was 2 in the morning because we were all so tired. But at the end of the day it was fun…. For all the work we did it was worth hanging out with everyone so thanks to Alli, Kalia, Madison, Allison, Lyndsay, Shelby, Madison Hall, I cant even list everyone but thanks to everyone who made it an awesome day.
